  9. It's great to see four Ermanno Olmi films on your list. He is one of my favourite directors. Two other Italian directors whose work I really like are Pasolini and Rossellini.
    Nice to see some popular films such as "Carlito's Way" included.
    I'm a bit surprised to find no mention of the likes of John Ford or Elaine May.
